FIKE 2010 - 9th International Short Film Festival will take place next October 19th to 23rd, 2010. Like in previous editions the Festival will screen 2010 best short films.Looking forward for a cross between points of view, aesthetics and arts in general, the Festival aims to select the best of national and foreigner contemporaneity.With this edition the Festival will start the celebration of its 10th anniversary and will have part of its activities in diferent cities of Alentejo, the vast region of south Portugal. The Festival is organized by the cultural associations SOIR Joaquim António de Aguiar and University of Évora Film Society in partnership with Estação Imagem and the support of ICA – Institute of Cinema and Audiovisual, the University of Évora and different Municipalities in the region.Due to delays and difficulties created by our main supporter last year – that still conditions our activities, the Festival will open a Call only for National films and documentaries on "Photography and Journalism". Foreign films will be invited to be present at the Festival. Next year the Festival will resume its normal activity.
